The way they gas lit swallowed it whole The way they smashed their faces into walls There is no one coming every wolf cry call Is the sound of burning the burning of us all The way they stole your Daughters and your sons The way they tried to make them Hate the ones they love There is no one coming every wolf cry call There's a sound of burning Burning of us all The way they make you eat the Shit out of thеir hand As if this is all you know and understand There is no onе coming every wolf cry call There's a sound of burning Burning of us all But there will come a time when you will stop Them from taking everything you are and All you've got to live for To live for, to live for, to live for There is someone coming every wolf cry call Is the sound of buring, the burning of us all

Victor Meirelles - A Primeira Missa no Brasil (1861)  «[...]

“Why are there beings at all instead of nothing? That is the question. Presumably it is not arbitrary question, "Why are there beings at all instead of nothing"- this is obviously the first of all questions. Of course it is not the first question in the chronological sense [...] And yet, we are each touched once, maybe even every now and then, by the concealed power of this question, without properly grasping what is happening to us. In great despair, for example, when all weight tends to dwindle away from things and the sense of things grows dark, the question looms.” “When tradition thus becomes master, it does so in such a way that what it transmits is made so inaccessible, proximally and for the most part, that it rather becomes concealed. Tradition takes what has come down to us and delivers it over to self-evidence; it blocks our access to those primordial "sources" from which the categories and concepts handed down to us have been in part quite genuinely draw...

Hardly had I thought I should learn to perish; Ever young, enwrapped in my robe I wandered, Raising dreamy eyes to the star styled often Solitude's symbol. All at once, however, you crossed my pathway - Suffering - you, painfully sweet, yet torture... To the lees I drank the delight of dying - Pitiless torment. Sadly racked, I'm burning alive like Nessus, Or like Hercules by his garment poisoned; Nor can I extinguish my flames with every Billow of oceans. By my own illusion consumed I'm wailing On my own grim pyre in flames I'm melting... Can I hope to rise again like the Phoenix Bird from the ashes? De-al ...

Thou brightly-glittering star of even, Thou gem upon the brow of Heaven Oh! were this fluttering spirit free, How quick 't would spread its wings to thee. How calmly, brightly dost thou shine, Like the pure lamp in Virtue's shrine! Sure the fair world which thou may'st boast Was never ransomed, never lost. There, beings pure as Heaven's own air, Their hopes, their joys together share; While hovering angels touch the string, And seraphs spread the sheltering wing. There cloudless days and brilliant nights, Illumed by Heaven's refulgent lights; There seasons, years, unnoticed roll, And unregretted by the soul. Thou little sparkling star of even, Thou gem upon an azure Heaven, How swiftly will I soar to thee, When this imprisoned soul is free! To a Star - Lucretia Maria Davidson The night is come, but not too soon;   And sinking silently, All silently, the little moon   Drops down behind the sky. There is no light in earth or heaven   But the cold light of stars; And t...

«But, in my opinion, the origin of so great a city, and the establishment of an empire next in power to that of the gods, was due to the Fates. The vestal Rhea, being deflowered by force, when she had brought forth twins, declares Mars to be the father of her illegitimate offspring, either because she believed it to be so, or because a god was a more creditable author of her offence. But neither gods nor men protect her or her children from the king's cruelty: the priestess is bound and thrown into prison; the children he commands to be thrown into the current of the river. By some interposition of providence, the Tiber having overflowed its banks in stagnant pools, did not admit of any access to the regular bed of the river; and the bearers supposed that the infants could be drowned in water however still; thus, as if they had effectually executed the king's orders, they expose the boys in the nearest land-flood, where now stands the ficus Ruminalis (they say that it was calle...

America I’ve given you all and now I’m nothing. America two dollars and twentyseven cents January 17, 1956.    I can’t stand my own mind. America when will we end the human war? Go fuck yourself with your atom bomb. I don’t feel good don’t bother me. I won’t write my poem till I’m in my right mind. America when will you be angelic? When will you take off your clothes? When will you look at yourself through the grave? When will you be worthy of your million Trotskyites? America why are your libraries full of tears? America when will you send your eggs to India? I’m sick of your insane demands. When can I go into the supermarket and buy what I need with my good looks? America after all it is you and I who are perfect not the next world.    Your machinery is too much for me. You made me want to be a saint. There must be some other way to settle this argument.    Burroughs is in Tangiers I don’t think he’ll come back it’s sinister.    Are you being si...
